Edible chocolate heart candy boxes are perfect for celebrating special occasions with your loved ones. Valentine’s day is just one of those days we can indulge in candy and heart-shaped decorations during the year.
So, why don’t you try this recipe to make edible chocolate boxes for your favorite Valentine’s candy?
You can use your favorite candy selection to fill the edible chocolate candy boxes. I picked marshmallows, candy, and chocolate candy, all heart-shaped, to go all-in!
As I like to say, Valentine’s day isn’t the only occasion you can show your love to everyone you appreciate. Moreover, I want to celebrate love in all its forms, romantic love, fraternal love, and friendship.
What you need to make chocolate heart candy boxes
Chocolate is the perfect ingredient for making these edible candy boxes. I chose semi-sweet chocolate for this recipe, but you can use milk chocolate or dark chocolate, depending on your -or your sweetheart’s- preference.
I picked chocolate chips for melting instead of bars because they’re more manageable and convenient. Some time ago, people were against using chips because they contain soy lecithin, which slows melting. Nowadays, however, almost any piece of chocolate contains soy lecithin, so it makes little difference using bars or chips.
Now, in terms of chocolate types, remember that unsweetened, dark, and semi-sweet chocolate are more stable than milk and white chocolate. The latter will melt faster, so you’ll need to pay more attention to prevent them from burning.
Find below the recipe with all the ingredients and a step-by-step guide to make chocolate heart candy boxes at home.

- Brush a second chocolate layer in the mold and stick it in the fridge for ten more minutes.
