I enjoyed creating this recipe because the summer was getting hotter while we were getting busier and busier.
When time is scarce, we can get tempted by unhealthy foods. With this recipe, you can have a quick meal to boost your energy during the afternoon or have an easy breakfast ready for a hectic morning. And all without binging in overly sweet and fatty foods!
I like the taste of greek yogurt with zesty fruits like strawberries and kiwis, but you can use your favorite fruits if you prefer.
Now that back-to-school season is approaching, they are a great option to serve early in the morning while the weather is hot.
Preparing Free Fruit Parfait Popsicles in 15 minutes
Making these popsicles is quick. Still, you’ll need to plan ahead because the freezing time takes several hours. In my case, it’s rarely less than 5 hours.
You don’t need to follow many rules to get pretty and delicious popsicles. I recommend adding dry ingredients first, like cereals and sliced fruits, and fill the molds with the mix afterward.
I like to use honey to sweeten this popsicles. It blends well with greek yogurt and fruits. Yet, you can use your favorite sweetener. Using a resealable bag as a pastry bag is convenient and easy. Not to mention that is a lot more affordable too.
If you are using popsicle molds like mine, you can add an extra bit of cereal on the base.
I like to add an extra crunch by covering the popsicles with shredded coconut and crushed cereals. To do so, I brushed the frozen popsicles with honey, so they cover sticks better.
And voilá!
