Easy Birds Nests for Kids
Try these yummy birds nests as an alternative to the sugar-loaded versions. It's so simple that you can make it with your kids in 15 minutes or less. Moreover, you can easily adapt it for vegan, and gluten-free diets.

- 1.5 tbsp of almond butter (unsalted, creamy)
- ½ cup and 2 tbsp of shredded coconut (unsweetened)
- 1 cup (very full!) of organic pitted dates
- 1 tbsp of maple syrup
- ½ cup of sliced almonds
- Your favorite Easter egg candy (we used Mini Robins Eggs, but keep in mind that you can find a gluten free or vegan alternative if you want)
Put in a bowl so you can work more easily. Then, add maple syrup and some extra shredded coconut. Mix all the ingredients with your hands and make dough balls.
Press each dough ball with your thumb, and make some finishing touchs to make it look more like a little nest.
Finally, place a couple of Easter egg candy in each nest, and treat yourself!
